Mission & Mandate
The Special Seals Security Reserve (SSSR) is a professional paramilitary security organisation headquartered in Ipakodo, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. SSSR is mandated to provide elite security services including community policing, maritime patrol, close protection, intelligence gathering, rapid response, and emergency services across its operational zones. The organisation works in cooperation with federal and state security agencies to maintain law, order, and public safety across the Lagos coastal and inland regions, with special focus on the Lagos Lagoon, Ikorodu waterways, and surrounding communities. SSSR maintains a standing rapid response unit, marine rescue team, intelligence cell, and community engagement programme.
